Tauro is a single family residence located in Lomas de Chapultepec, a highly residential area of Mexico city. The site is a 30x20 m rectangle with neighbors to 3 of the sides, and the street on the north side.
The required program was separated and arranged algonside 3 circulation axis on the ground floor plan, dividing the public, service and a bedroom block. Architectural approcach aims to deliverately separate this 3 blocks in volume and section to make noticeable that every block serves a diferent use or progam purpose.
This arrangement in plan makes an “L” shaped scheme, that encloses the public area, including the living room, terrace, garden space and pool. Here, the enclosed space takes the form of a wooden structure completely separated from the rest of the house, contrasting with the cast concrete, more solid language.
