Rancho las Golondrinas is located in Valle de Bravo, state of Mexico. The project was to be resolved in a site with no close neighbors, surrounded by forest views and mountains and sought as a weekend retreat from the city with a usual program of a single family house.
Due to the irregular terrain and slope, the concept was to have a solid basement wich holds on it 3 independent volumes, one for each specific use: public area, sleeping area and service units. This volumes are held togeher by a single enclosing slab on top on them. Within this volumes, the semi-open halls and remanesent space is used as terraces that have views to the surrounding forest vegetation.
