INTERVENTION IN COLONIA SAN SIMON
The objective of this project was to give a new use to a basketball court in very bad condition.
The local community required a space to hold assemblies, meetings and workshops. The budget that was available was very limited.
Our intention was to restore the basketball court while we provided a covered space for neighbors. This was achieved with the simple gesture of raising the basketball court and the slab itself was generated an open space for other activities.
This solution required a perimeter fence to avoid fallings. The final image that was achieved was as a lightweight cube suspended.
As part of the project, metal studs recovered to generate spatial partitions and furnishings.
